While we wandered on the whale's way
Ash and Elm are warring, endless tangles twist
Soot rooster still stands silently
Spear-time, sword-time, raven's time
While we wandered on the whale's way
Dragon gnawing shivers tree
Golden goat yet gives good gain
Spear-time, sword-time, raven's time
While we wandered on the whale's way
Thought crows flying for far flung folk
Chain strains, pulling two collars
Spear-time, sword-time, raven's time
             Yet know this my child
             Cows must still be milked.
